I’d done a few stints in rehab and tonnes of therapy.
Swapping one addiction for another ie. the pills ‘because it was evidence based’ never made sense to me. Digging through my past looking for trauma that didn’t exist also never made sense to me. Feeling immense guilt yet no tools to turn it around was frustrating.
I’ll never forget my first conversion with the therapist when I asked for a diagnosis…
"You have a disorder called boredom and my official diagnosis is a chronic case of being yes’d and enabled constantly. You have no plan, no values you live by no purpose and you add no value to yourself and therefore the world everyday. What would you like to do about it?"
My jaw hit the flaw. She explained that being the smartest and most powerful person in the room was never a good thing and I quickly realised that my entire circle were controlled by me in some way. I had all I ever wanted easily but I had lost my bearings because I could. When I did my full health analysis it was a wake up call. It was all eye opening. A life yet to be lived.
Finally someone who was willing to be truthful and get down in the trenches with the reality of my behaviour and world that I had created to enable myself.
We set a goal to achieve more in one week than I had in years to prove to myself what I was really capable of. And then every week since I just hit repeat.
If you are looking for meds or the easy way out this program isn’t for you. It’s raw, real and you are challenged to take action every single day. You might be staying in pure luxury but you will be doing the work and you will be challenged to see what you are really made of. But wow it’s fun and inspiring as every day you step closer to who you really are and want to be and the whole team has your back.
